Flavor
This matcha is grassy and fresh, with a light floral character and a gentle sweetness. I get hints of lavender and jasmine, along with a slight saltiness and a touch of bitterness.
My Thoughts
Overall, this is a good usucha, although it is not quite umami-forward enough for my taste and is slightly more bitter than I prefer. I do enjoy its fresh sweetness, however, which gives the tea a pleasant and refreshing character.
Calmplex also serves this matcha in beautiful chawans at its tea bar, which makes the experience of drinking it even more enjoyable.
