Flavor
To me, this tea feels like an upgraded Sayaka. It has a similarly balanced flavor profile, but with much stronger sweetness and umami, along with significantly less bitterness and astringency. It also leaves a remarkably long-lasting finish that closely mirrors the flavor of the tea itself, allowing each sip to be enjoyed long after it is gone.
My Thoughts
This tea makes one of my favorite usuchas and one of my favorite koichas. It is less suited for lattes, however, as its delicate floral notes and nuanced flavor profile are better appreciated on their own.
I think it occupies the perfect middle ground between usucha and koicha. It is refined enough to excel as either, making it one of the most versatile matchas that I have tried.
